PASSOVER WINE NUT CAKE (PARVE) |

INGREDIENTS: |
|
| |
- 12 eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 cup Passover cake meal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup ground nuts

DIRECTIONS: |
|
| |
- In a large bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar until very
light.
- Add wine, cake meal, salt, cinnamon and nuts.
- Beat egg whites in a separate bowl until stiff.
- Fold into yolk mixture.
- Pour into a 10-inch tube pan and bake in a preheated
325 degrees F oven for one hour.
- Invert and cool.
- Serves 8 - 10
