INGREDIENTS: |
- ½ onion, cut to small pieces
- 4 tbsp Onion soup mix
- 6 pounds Kosher beef roast
- 1 cup Kosher ketchup
- 4 tbsp Kosher horseradish sauce
- 4 tbsp Kosher mustard
- 2 tbsp apricot preserves
- 2 cups Coca Cola

DIRECTIONS: |
- Lay the onion on the bottom of a large
roaster
- Sprinkle on the onion 2 tbsp of the soup
mix
- Put roast in pan, flat side up.
- Sprinkle on the roast 2 more tbsp of
onion soup mix
- Mix together ketchup, horseradish sauce,
mustard, preserves and Coca Cola. Mix thoroughly. Pour over the
roast.
- Cover and bake in the oven at 325°F, 27
minutes per pound of roast.
- Note: At 225 - 250°, the roast can cook
all day and be ready for Shabbat. Also, lost fat is lost at a
low temperature, so the roast stays moist
- Serves 8
