INGREDIENTS: |
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- ˝ cup chopped green pepper
- 1 Kosher chicken (fryer), cut up
- 2 tbsp anchovy-free, Kosher Vegetarian
Worcestershire sauce
- Salt pepper and paprika, to taste
- Garlic, to taste
- 1 cup Kosher ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp brown sugar

DIRECTIONS: |
- Sauté vegetables in the vegetable oil.
- Put Kosher chicken in a casserole and brown in
oven for 10 minutes
- Add Kosher vegetarian Worcestershire sauce and
the spices to the chicken.
- Cover the chicken with the vegetables.
THE SAUCE:
- Combine ketchup, water and brown sugar
into a 2-cup measuring cup. Mix thoroughly, and put on the top
of the chicken.
- Cover with foil and bake at 350°F
for about 1˝ hours.
- Serve over rice.
- Serves 6.
